Exploits

Let's talk about exploits. As you can see below Exploit.PDF-JS.Gen, (v) has made our Malware Hit Parade. What is an exploit you may ask? Exploit derives from the French meaning achievement or accomplishment. It is a malicious software/application, which takes advantage of some bug or vulnerability in a computer or another software application. Once it has entered the system, it endeavors to take over said computer and use it for nefarious purposes.

Usually an exploit is designed to take advantage of some specific software vulnerability. Such is the case with Exploit.PDF-JS.Gen (v) which as its name implies exploits a security flaw in PDF files with embedded JavaScript that often installs downloaders that retrieve further malware from remote Web sites. Obviously, you remove it.
